Lieutenant Mark Kavakich |
Lt. Kavakich joined law enforcement in 1981 shortly after graduation from Bentworth High School. Lt. Kavakich has also worked for the Bentworth Ambulance as an E.M.T., been actively involved with the Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Dept. In 1993 Lt. Kavakich joined the Washington County District Attorney's Drug Task Force where he worked all aspects of drug investigations. From 1993 to 2000 Lt. Kavakich was a K-9 handler of a patrol/narcotics dog and conducted many educational demonstration for various school districts in Washington County for District Attorney John Pettit. Lt. Kavakich has also attended many narcotics and tactical training offered through the Military and Federal Government. Lt. Kavakich also currently serves as a full-time Chief of Police for the North Franklin Twp. Police and is a team leader for the Washington County Regional Special Response Team.

Regional Tactical Team- Bentleyville Police are a participating agency of the Washington County Regional Response Team. This team is comprised of police officers from the following police department.
